So you are wondering, “Is P90X Hard?”
You have seen the infomercials, you have seen your friend’s posts on Facebook about starting it, your curiosity is peaked and you want to know if its even something you can do yourself.
I remember when I started P90X a little over two years ago…It was UGLY! I could barely do the push-ups without falling to my knees, I could only do one single pull-up (kicking like a fish out of water), and the cardio literally left the taste of blood in my mouth!
Dont let this discourage you though, lol…I was 60lbs overweight and had not worked out in over 8 years!
But weather or not P90X is hard isn’t the question you really want the answer to…You want to know “Can I do P90X???”
I have actually put together this 3 question quiz to based with some general questions to help you decide if you should give P90X a go.
Be sure to post your answers in the comments and let everyone know how you did!
On a scale of 1 to 10, how serious are you about getting the results you want?
If you answered between 8 and 10…that commitment coupled with P90X is a lethal combination for crazy results!
The reason that only 12.5% of people who try P90X complete it is because they were never serious in the first place. They have the mindset that if they are working hard, then they can reward themselves with some of the “old habits” that got them looking into P90X in the first place.
You have to be laser beam focused on your goals and not willing to let anything stand in your way. And you cant let that mentality of “well I can eat this since I have been working out so hard” creep in and sabotage your progress. You have to be 100% committed to CHANGING your life and turning your back on all the habits that got you to were you dont want to be!
If you are serious about getting P90X style results and into the best shape of your life, then you need to act like you are serious about it…And if you can do that, the difficulty level of P90X and the issue of whether or not you can “do P90X” means nothing…You CAN do it!
Can You Modify Exercises?
See one of the reasons so many people quit P90X is because they say its “too hard”.
The reason its too hard is because the people who are saying that are all bent out of shape because they cant keep up with the people in the videos, or they cant do as many reps as Tony…
Get your ego out of the way and modify the exercise so that you can do it based on your current ability! If you need to do push-ups on your knees…do them on your knees. I did! If you cant do pull-ups…use a chair to push with your legs. I did!
Again…get your ego out of the way of your results and just DO YOUR BEST AND FORGET THE REST!
Are You Teachable?
One of the biggest struggles for potential P90X’ers is changing their entire frame of thinking on nutrition. Many of you are coming into this with years, maybe even decades of bad habits and thinking on nutrition…
I have developed one of the most comprehensive and effective nutritional resources to walk you step-by-step on how to get results just like I have gotten, but you have to be willing to FOLLOW INSTRUCTION and ignore what you THINK will get you the best results.
If I tell you that increasing your calorie intake is going to help you start losing fat again after hitting a weight loss plateau…are you going to do what I say or brush me off?
Remember…I got the results to prove that my guidance is sound! Thats not to brag, but its to show you that if you are willing to be teachable and follow instruction and advice…then you can get results just like I have gotten.
Will P90X push you too your limits physically and metally…YES!
Will P90X be the hardest physical fitness program you have ever tried…most likely!
Are you going to want to quit…Oh yes!
But if you answered YES to all three quiz questions above then its not about whether its hard or not…If you answered YES to all three questions above then there are no “odds of success” for YOU…You just sealed your results when you DECIDED you were going to succeed!
It took me 210 days to get my results…It might even take you longer than that. But aren’t you worth it? I think you are and I believe you have it in you to be in the best shape of your entire life no matter where you are at right now!
