Replacing Shakeology For Breakfast | RIPPEDCLUB

Replacing Shakeology For Breakfast

I know that many of you have discovered the awesomeness of Shakeology, but the bottom line is that not everyone can afford it.

Many of you have asked me, “what can I replace Shakeology with?”, and the fact of the matter is that there really is no real Shakeology alternative that is comparable.

So What options do you have?

A lot of people drink there Shakeology for breakfast everyday just as I do, so what I wanted to share with you is a killer breakfast that will keep you full, satisfy your taste buds, and give your body the boost it needs to start the day off right.

Before I do that though, lets take a look at what the best thing for replacing Shakeology for breakfast looks like.

What You Need With Breakfast

The best thing for breakfast and to start your day off right is to make sure that you have a balanced meal that is going to give you energy, keep you full, and taste great so that you look forward to eating it each morning. On a side note, one of the things that people who have lost 30+ pounds is that they all eat breakfast. This is important! So lets take a look at what you would be replacing Shakeology for breakfast with.

Protein: A few options for your protein would be egg whites, whole eggs, whey protein, plant based protein (like pea protein), lean turkey bacon or sausage – watch the sodium though.

Carbs: For your complex carbs you want to be looking for whole wheat (toast, english muffin), oats (preferably steel cut, but instant is okay), veggies like fresh spinach, broccoli, and peppers go great with the egg whites.

Fiber: fiber can be found in a supplement (powder form) or you could go for some ground flax seed too which would be my choice to add to a shake or my oatmeal. And of course, fruits are a great source of fiber as well.

Fats: Your healthy fats are going to come from nuts in most cases (they are the tastiest source of healthy fats in my opinion); natural peanut butter, almond butter, or you can even chop up the nuts for a crunchy additive to top your breakfast with.

Super Food: And then you want a some source of super food like acai berry, blueberries, gojo berries. You might even look into some additives like spirulina or chlorella. Both of these are included in shakeology and are very important. Here is why:

Spirulina: This superfood is known to carry the highest concentration of any protein as well as is one of the top sources of Iron. It is also rich in antioxidants, builds our blood and boosts our immunity. It also contains Gamma-Linolenic Acid which can give us healthy silky hair and skin.

Chlorella: An aquatic plant rich in chlorophyll and carries superior nutrient profile. It cleanses the body of toxins and has immune boosting qualities. Chlorella is a blue-green alge that has ability to remove dioxin, lead and mercury from the bod. It contains high concentrations of B-group vitamins and contribute to digestive support.

The immune system and cleansing agents are often neglected when it comes to considerations with nutrition so if you cant afford Shakeology, try and get your hand on these two items. Your body will thank you!
